It's been a Year........................

It's been a year, on this very day, 10 armed terrorists rocked the spirit of Mumbai and made mocery of Indian Intelligence Agency (RAW & IB). Hell was cut loose and there was no mercy in their eyes even when they slain Rabbi and his pregnant wife. They open fired at railway station (CST) and at Leopold. Two of the most prestigious hotels of India were taken hostage (Taj Mahal and Oberoi Trident). Three IAS officers were shot and died. Number of peoples lost their lives along with government officials. The magnitude of attack was huge. Our media covered everthing and telecast those as if running some matinee show of a blockbuster hit bollywood movie.

It's been a year to that incident. Media got another chance to dig the dead people out of their graves. Ajaml Kasab, the lone captured terrorist, is still alive. He accepted his link in the attack and the role of Pakistani Government. INR 31 Crores had been spent on him for protection and all. Intelligence agency are trying to get information from him.

It's been a year, many questions in our minds are still unanswered. Why Kasab is still alive? Why not he was hanged till death at the middle of road junction? What the hell he had told to Intelligence Unit? Why government is spending so much for the security of a terrorist who had committed a heinous and unforgivable sin? Why Government has not done anything to Pakistani soil which breeds terrorism?

It's been a year, We had let the pain and sorrow dig into our heart. The Father, Mother, Wife, Son and Daughter of the dead Officers and Soldiers are still running for the compensation. It was easy for us to forget what happened at that day. But wounds are still fresh in the heart of the people who lost their close ones.

It's been a year. Today I don't want to blame our inefficient government for that fateful day.
Today I don't want to blame the media for making Kasab a familiar name in each household. Today I don't want to blame any person who was involved in that crime. Today, all I want to do is to pray to God. May God rest the souls of innocent people, who died, in peace. Today, I want to make a resolution to fight terrorism in every possible manner at my level. Today I want to pay my tribute to the Officers and Soldiers of our nation. Today, I want to say thanks to the mother of our brave Officers and Soldiers. Today I want to pray for the families of Officers and Soldiers. Today I want to make a promise to every Indian that I will never let the pain die. I will not apply the balm of time over the wound. The day, 26/11, will always be remembered.

Things to do when you are on BENCH.............

After my training in Java (Computer Programming Language ), I was assigned to Wireless Domain at Wipro Technologies. I was there for 3 months doing nothing but making POCs (Proof of Concept). That is making demo application to show that you are familiar to the programming language. Honestly speaking, I was on BENCH. Then I got a call for a project and transferred to Bangalore. It's been almost a month here and still I didn't got any work to do. everyday a thought crosses my mind 'Am I still on Bench or literally assigned to some project'. It is this time when you are not sure what to do.

So here are few tips to meet your 9.30 hrs of office while doing nothing.

  1. Read mails and forward them. Check for new mails every 15 mins.
  2. Chat with others who are on bench and disturb those who are in project.
  3. Call from your extension to your friends and speak your heart out.
  4. Take a lots of tea/coffee breaks and take atleast 1/2 an hr to finish a cup of tea/coffee.
  5. Hang out in cafeteria and watch out the pretty faces.
  6. Read newspapers without caring what you are reading.
  7. Go for lots of toilet breaks.
  8. Do excersice/gym at office hrs.
  9. Play Carrom, TT, Chess and all other Indoor games and be the champion.
  10. Carry a novel with you or play games on your mobiles.
  11. Write blogs as I am doing.
  12. Check your account balance everyday as if someone is stealing money from your account in EMI's.

Well there are lots other but I think this much is sufficient for 10 hrs at office.

But I firmly believe in looking for the bright side of the thing. Being on BENCH gives you the oppurtunity to explorer various new horizons. Few good things you can do while on BENCH are:-

  1. Read the Newspaper regularly with concentration and build your vocab.
  2. Read Business articles, books and magazines.
  3. Learn new Programming Language or master a particular one.
  4. Go for your passions and fulfill your desires.

Though the latter are boring and may be not your cup of tea, but this helps you in long run to build your carrer.

What I did and doing is, trying to mix these two flavours and the essence I am getting is quite overwhelming.

Life always throw challenges at you. It's upto you to crumble under it or jump high using it as platform.

Passions and Desires

During my childhood, I was very passinate about Guitar, Dance and Cooking. But I had lots of reasons for not fulfilling my dreams. I was good at studies and my parents wanted me to excel in that field rather than chasing wild dreams. And they were not financially strong also. With time I realized that I ll have to help myself to make my passions come true. I did what my parents wanted. I studied hard but didn't let my passions die. It was always there at some corner of my heart. Unseen and Untouched. Wanted to come out.

When I joined college to complete my graduation (Engineering), I stayed at hostel for 2 years. Then on one fortunate day we (Third Year Students) were told to vacate hostel and move out of the campus. I found a 2BHK flat and started living there with my friends. We could have afforded a Cook but I insisted that I will cook the food. That was the time to fulfill my passion and I did what it asked for. Tried my hands at different dishes and cusinies. Still whenever I am too tensed or stressed I prefer to cook.

I joined a MNC after completing my engineering. Was in Chennai for 5 months, then transferred to Bangalore. Here I got the chance to learn Guitar. I enrolled for the classes. Yesterday was the first class. Next week I ll start playing tunes which I am sure will be horrendous. But where there is a will, there is a way. With time I will be able to play some tunes. But it's not about being a rock star. That is not what I want. For me it is a desire which is going to be fulfilled.

Never had a chance to shake my legs apart from parties and weddings where it doesn't matter at all. I believe that if the desire for doing something burns inside, You will always find a way to quench your thirst. All you have to do is to not let that fire extinguished before you give it a try. Wait for the time and every piece will fall into place. Never give up on what your heart wants to do. That is what I have learned and Believe. I hope I will get a chance to shake my booty. Till then all I have to do is to let the fire burn inside me.

To Passion and Desires.

Men in Blue are Back.................With a BANG!!!!!!!!!!!

After the tri series between India, New Zealand and Sri Lanka, Yesterday we saw what Indian Cricket team is capable of. Down in the series 1-0 with 6 matches to go, Men in Blues were asked to bat first by the arch rivals Aussies. Sachin once again failed to score big, but I still believe that there is lot more for Sachin to display during the coming matches. Yuvi too didn't made the mark in his comeback match after he was ruled out of Champions Trophy cause of injuries. Sehwag palyed the superb cameo hitting 40 of 31 deliveries. Gauti (76 runs) was phenomenal. The only player who is showing consistency from past 2 years. Shouldering the responsibility and making the captain and selectors proud. Raina played a superb knock of 62 of 50 deliveries after failing cheaply in the first match. But Dhoni was the man to look out for. Played well during the middle overs and literally destroyed the bowling attack of Aussies during the slog over along with Raina. Dhoni scored his 5th century when he hit Shane Watson for a straight Six. Went on to score 124 runs in just 107 balls before getting out in the last over. Aussies had a bad run of luck when their perfomer Brett Lee and James Hopes were declared injured after the first match and Mitchell Johnson clearing the fitness test just before the match. but that should not take the credit away from the Indians who played really fantastic after their dismal performance in first match. After the final delivery by Aussie's the score was 354/7.

To much too chase for the kangarooes and that too without their star batsman Micheal Clarke and Brad Haddin who are out of this tournament. The start was bad and they lost their 1st wicket when score read 20. Ricky who played a superb knock in the first match fall cheaply and so is Shane Watson. White and Hussey tried to stable the inning but after White went for 23, Aussies were done. Hussey made a blisterring 53 of 60 deliveries when others struggled to reamin at crease. Credit goes to our bowlers for doing well. Ishant impressed with quicks and line. Jadeja bowled well in the middle overs and was awarded with 3 wickets. Praveen also bowled tight line and length. Only concern about Indian bowling without the spearhead Zaheer is the form of Bajji who has to prove his mettle again.

All said and done, the series is still quite open. With 5 more matches to go and opponents being the no. 1 ODI team, it's very difficult to say what the result ll be. I ll be happy to see Men in Blue holding the trophy. Winning the series is very impotant keeping in mind the decreasing popularity of ODI's and the performance of Indian team in the just concluded Champions Trophy. Losing the series ll adversely affect the viewership and all the pundits of cricket ll come down blazing their guns on the Men in Blue.

All the best to Indian team. Keep up the good performance.

Electronics City

Finally i got transfered to the city everyone knows as Silicon Valley of India, a.k.a Banglore..............Sorry it's Bengaluru now (Don't want to be in any kind of Controversy). Whatever I say about this city will be less, though didn't got chance to roam around the city and explore the places. The best thing about Bengaluru is it's climate. Very unpredictable and just awesome. Now I don't have to wash my shirts and shocks daily as was the case in Chennai. Don't have to take bath daily too. :). Enough of the laugh now.

I have heard that Bengaluru is the most expensive city of India, but honestly I think that one more comparision between Bengaluru,Chennai, Mumbai and Pune will rule out my doubts. I am living near to Electronics City and its away from the main city. The house rents are cheap in this part and so is the food. The place is getting bigger and bigger everyday with lots of multi-national companies coming up.

Office location and campus is mind-blowing. Almost everyone speaks in Hindi (our mother tongue). People don't care about what you are wearing. Though we have dress code in Wipro Technologies, no one gives a damn here. Food court is big and have a lot of options to opt for. Various dishes and cuisines at cheap rates. Lots of beauties for the exercise of your eyes. Hell, I love this place.

Still have to know a lot about this place. I am dying to roam around and the nearby places. Keep looking for more on my experiences.

Word of Caution: All that glitters is not Gold. The taxi and buses fares are too much.

After a long Vacation

Finally I took leave from my office for a whole week after 4 grueling months of my job. Though I have not done anything substantial in that period but still I felt that I needed this break. So I packed my bag and went to Pune to meet my elder brother and have fun. My youngest brother was already chilling his foot in there when I reached to Pune.

The very next day we started for Mahabaleshwar, riding in bikes as it is only 120 kms from Pune. Hardly we had passed the tunnel around 15 km from my brother's room, my youngest brother lost his vision. Dropped his spectacles in the middle of highway and forced us to cancel the trip. Returned back to room and slept as I was to tired from my journey.

Went to Hard Rocks in the evening. It was hell of a place to hangout guys. Rock music, drinks, chicks and lots of people who doesnot even know where they are. It was a totally different life in there.

Next day one of my dearest friend came to Pune as he was transfered. That day simply fly off talking about how our life has changed since we started working. 2 days later we went to Mumbai to meet our close friends and believe me guys nothing is much better than sitting with your friends and chatting the day off over a hookah. Meeting friends who you care about after a long time is really a special moment. A moment of mixed emotions. You feel joy and try to hold the tears at the same time. Lots to say but not finding the words. Those moments are such which can't be put in words. Sorry but this is getting too emotional.

Well we came back to Pune after 2 days and next day I started my journey back to Chennai. Due to floods at various parts of Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka, the route of my train was diverted. Because of that I reached chennai 5 hrs late and went straight to my office (that was yesterday).

Still I am lost in streets of Pune and Mumbai. I am back to my desk but the memory is still fresh.
Again same life routine. Coming to office at 8.30 A.M and leaving by 7 in evening. Going to room, having dinner and a sleep of 6 hrs. Life has became so monotonous but still I am happy cause I know............................

Life is What you think it is...............Find joy in every moment and Embrace what life gives you..........You will have your moments.....................

Right to Speak................but in Silence

The preamble of constitution defines India as sovereign, socialist, secular, democratic republic. Our constitution has given us many rights. Right to Vote, Right to Speak, Right to Justice, Right to do things which we are not even aware of. But when a person wants to speak his heart out he was asked to keep his silence. Just for example look at the case of Mr. Jaswant Singh's book Jinnah: India-Partition-Independence. One mistake he did is he praised Jinnah and criticized Nehru for the partition of India and Pakistan. Resulting in his expulsion from BJP and later Gujrat government, led by BJP member Narendra Modi, banned the book.

Though the High Court of Gujrat had removed the ban on the book but still the question is Why the book was Banned? Every person has a right to say and write his views. Then why Mr. Jaswant Singh was criticized and humiliated for writing a book? He hadn't done any crime as per our law system. He didn't deserve that.

Ok lets see the case of the actor known as Mr. Perfectionist in Bollywood, none other Mr. Aamir Khan. He sat at an andolan (protest) to rehabilitate those who rendered homeless cause of increasing the height of a dam on Narmada River. He didn't did anything wrong but his movies were banned in Gujrat excusing him of making anti-Gujrat comments.

I know this blog is about Indian Democracy but let's just move global. One of the most controversial book "The Da-Vinci Code" was banned alleging that it threatens the existence of Christainity and The Bible. The Chruch was so sceptic that the book will create mass controversy, it used the power and influence to ban the book. If church believes in Christainity and the word of The Bible then why they were afraid of the thinking of just a single man.

Looking back at history, we have lots of example where the voice of a community or person went unheard or made to echo to be heard only by walls.

I hope I will not be arrested for writing this blog. :)

Growth And Rainfall

I was reading this article "Slow and Steady", TOI, about the recent growth rate of India and how the rainfall and drought can affect it. After giving it a coffee break thought, I thought its worth mentioning in my blog.

Well as per the government, our country has done better compared to our western counterparts in tackling recession, though we too have seen lots of jobs being slashed and decrease in GDP. The growth in the last quarter comes as a relaxation for most of the government officials and corporate world as it exceeds the expectations. No questions, a lot has been done by government and corporate world to curb the recession. More and more no. of SEZ's were being identified and were developed, Bank rates were slashed and many more steps were taken. Finally our economy is showing growth. But as when we thought everyhting is going smooth, slow and steady, comes the jerk.

If yesteryear world economy played the part of the villain, Monsoon is the culprit this year. Scattered rainfall in most part of the country is leading to drought and increase in prices of agricultural products. Most affected are pulses seeing the steepest hike ever. Prediction is that late rain will be boon for winter crops. Government too has taken the initiative to release and distribute the agricultural products from the stock to minimize the chaos. Apart from affecting the agriculture, Monsoon has big role in hydel power generation too. Low rainfall this year can be a major reason for less power generation thus affecting the industrial growth.

It is predicted that inflation will be 4% more in March 2010 as compared to same period in 2009. The economic growth is expected to be 5.8% in year 2009-10 which was earlier projected to 6.3%. Government is hopeful that non-agricultural growth will be more.

Finally, The CUPS are back in stand............

Before you start thinking about any kind of World Cup event let me assure you that this blog has nothing to do with any kind of World Cup event. The CUP here is nothing but only the ceramic cups made up of china clay which every other living being uses or the dead had used (with due respect). Moreover this blog is not at all interesting and reading this will be waste of time. Infact, I am doing this to kill my own time. So untill and unless you have nothing to do or you wanna get depressed or even want to beat your head against the wall, this blog will surely help.

Well if you are reading this I am assuming that you don't have any work at all. You are very bored and just can't keep wondering why even are you reading this.

Ok no more suspense.....................Here it goes...........

From past three weeks when I went out of my cabin (cubicle will do better) to have a cup of coffee at my workplace, I was seeing only paper cups. Even in canteen the glasses were replaced by those paper cups (You know those use and throw type that can be recycled). Using those paper cups for drinking water and coffee was really annoying. It gave the feeling of sitting at a road side shop and having coffee (Most annoying cause can't lit a cig inside office). But today when I reached office I saw the ceramics cups back in the stand. I hope this means that swine flu is almost over and there is no more need of concern. I am too happy to express my feelings. To add to my rejoice I had plenty of time to go for a cup of coffee...................

IMPORTANT:-

At the last I would like to express my gratitude to the swine flu virus. God bless them. May their soul rest in peace after made a lot of us to rest in peace.

I would also like to thank the American citizens who spreaded this virus and made it a matter of world wide concern and making me undersand the importance of ceramic cup in my life.

Thanks to you for bearing with me and now feel free to bang your head against the wall.

Will I be Lucky This Time.......................

I believe that falling in love again and again is not bad but falling in love with more than one guy or girl at a time is not good.

Falling for 1st Time:-
Well at that time I was in School (11th grade). A new family shifted to our neighbourhood. That was the first time I saw her. Standing outside her building (adjacent to mine). Tall, slim and dead gorgeous. Love at first sight. Admitted to my school (10th grade). Helped her a lot with studies. Finally when I was in 12th grade I told her about my feelings. Rejected. Boom......................
First love and failure. Then I realized that she rejected me because of cast difference (She was SC). She thought that our relationship won't work. Time to move on..........

Falling for 2nd Time:-
I was in Bhopal for AIEEE counselling. There I met her first time. Admitteed to same college in Chennai. And I started dreaming. But all dreams not come true. One of my friend had crush on her. He told me about that and I dragged my feet. Though I know I would had fall on my face if I would had tried. Presently she is a very dear friend and the best girl I ever met.

Falling for 3rd Time:-
Met her in train during my college days. A friend of mine introduced me to her. She was doing her B.A at Chennai. Became a close friend and with time I started liking her. When I told her about my feelings Boom...............Again. She had other plans in life. Career oriented girl, no time for love. Life is a bed of hard rock..................

Falling for 4th Time:-
She was the cousin of my third love. God even I didn't believed that I fall for her. She was always there when we used to go out for movies or beaches (with my 3rd love). After failing for 3rd time I said it's enough of this. No more love game. But when you are least expecting, shit happens. Lots of incident and accidents brought us closer to each other. I realized that she too likes me and I surrendered myself to the tides of love. Finally the fateful day arrived when I told her and she didn't said YES (though she didn't said NO). I was happy thinking that might be she need time and will come around. Biggest mistake I made in my life. Actually she was confused. She liked a friend of mine who was already engaged with some other girl. Too filmy and Dramatic. Then one day I came to know that my friend had proposed to her. I was shocked. How can he do that? He was a close friend. He knew how I felt for her and moreover he too was engaged. This is not done. This can't be happening to me, I thought. Almost became Devdas for time being. But there lies the problem. I can't see myself worrying too much, I can't be sad for long. I recovered but still a part of me is missing.

Falling for 5th Time:-
After college was over I went to Pune to live with my elder brother. We used to go to a coffee shop every evening. Sitting there, sipping a cup of coffee for over an hour. Actually that cooffee shop was surrounded by girls hostel. So had a lot of reason to hang around. There was this girl living nearby. She too used to come daily to that coffee shop. Sometimes I noticed that she was looking at me. She was cute. I said common SAM, there is nothing wrong in falling again. Go for it. But it was too late. She was gone. Shifted to some other location. Tried to find out but all in vain. Consider it my bad luck or good (cause no heartbreak this time).

So here I am in Chennai again. A Software Professional, working for a MNC. Still single and looking for love. I know I ll find one sooner or later.
But the Question is Will I be Lucky This Time??????

Yeh Hai Youngistaan....................Meri Jaan

After serious blogs which forced you to think here comes a lighter one................

India is changing and changing fast. It now even reflects in our movies.......Bollywood, getting bold and bolder with each movie. People are coming out of romantic era. Movies like A Wednesday and Mumbai Meri Jaan had acclaimed many milestones (courtesy to us). Young brigade in Rajya and Lok Sabha is another example of changing minds, though they are handful but still lot many compared to earlier times. Courses which were not considered good earlier have now become professional. Now it's not just about being a doctor or engineer. Things are changing fast and randomly.

Definition of many things have changed and ll continue to change because we like changes in our life. We don't believe in working in 9-5 shifts, nor believe in working in govt. organization for secured future. We are not company loyal anymore, we are money loyal. And I say thats good because you don't want to see bankers at your door-steps asking for the EMI's after being laid off by your company cause of slowdown. We believe in living life king size. We don't care about our past and give a damn to our future. We live at present and think about the moment. We believe in freedom (doing things according to us rather than following others word). We are impatient, rebellion, not tolerant, emotionally unbalanced. We bring joy and happiness along with us. We are more creative, have ability to think out-of-box, different prespective of life.
We are the face of tomorrow, the future of this country.

Who are we?

We are YOUNGISTAAN.....................

Word of Caution:-
Better keep pace with us or you ll be left behind

Corrupt to the Core.........

I am not gonna define corruption for u. Everyone knows what corruption is since their childhood. I am here to explain the root cause and whom to blame for the same. If u think u know whom to blame for Corruption in our society, think again after reading this blog...........

More than 70% of the population of India believe in existence of God and super-natural power. Most of them fear of hell after life. Still our Corruption rate is so high. So the question to be asked is Why people are corrupt if they fear God and hell after life. The answer is necessity and greed. It's just the necessity which drives them to do what they fear most and the greed of human race to be at top. Take a policeman for example. Avg income of a police constable is around 8000 - 10000 PM. Do u expect him to run his living and those who depends on him in just 10000? Do u think its possible for him to get his heir admitted in good school which charges more than 3000 PM? Now some may argue that we do have municipal and govt funded school which provide education at cheap rate and some r free also. To that I will say then why not each and every child should be educated from such institute, Why we have difference in our society? I have given u a very simple and basic example of necessity. Similarly every part of our society is Corrupt to some extent. A poor is Corrupt cause of necessity, a rich is Corrupt cause of greed and Middle-Class is Corrupt cause of necessity and greed.

Second question is Who is responsible for Corruption? Now most of u ll start blaming govt for the dire condition of our beloved Country but have u ever given it a thought that we r the one who breed corruption at root level. We r the one who r responsible for pathetic condition of our country. We-the mango people, the aam janta....................

We are the one to be blamed. If a traffic policeman stops us for breaking the rule, we give him the chai pani and carry on. Have any one of u ever paid the whole fine and asked for the reciept?
We buy lots of things and just to get some discount we don't ask for the bill. And u say govt is responsible for that?

Another question for u guys. Why Sanjay Dutt is not behind bar and so is Sachin Tendulkar. Both have broken the rules. Sanjay Dutt was found with a A.K. 47 and after a long trail court says he is innocent. Now come to Sachin. He drove Ferrari at the speed of more than 165 Kmph in express highway having max speed limit for cars as 100 kmph. Why he was given the permission to do so? It's just because these guys are rich and influential or that we let this happen cause Sachin is the God of Cricket and Sanjay made movies like Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. Why no one protested? No dharna, No hunger Strike? Why? But when it comes to policeman, clerks and politicians everyone start criticizing. If u r thinking that I am some freak guy who is Cynical and trying to justify Corruption, go and see ur face in mirror. This is the India we r leaving in and this is the Country I want to be rekon with pride. Or r we Corrupt to the Core?

Why Science should not be Politicized

Why Science should not be politicized? This is a very important issue and I just thought why not bank on this? Read on to find more......

For start let me ask u guys "How many of u exactly know what is Global Warming ?" or "How many have ever tried to know what exactly is Global Warming? "

Global Warming is a theory that avg temperature around the globe is on rise and will continue to rise because of increase in % of certain gases in atmosphere (Carbon-dioxide to be precise).

If an article published on Wall Street Journal titled "A major Deception on Global Warming" by Seitz is to be believed, Global Warming is nothing but a deception by policy makers.
Similar to this u ll find a lots of different views regarding Global Warming. but the actual question is "Why is there such a hue and cry for these?"

Politics is one which had tried everytime to stop science to progress and publish the right statements regarding various issues just like Global Warming, Attack on Twin Tower and Pentagon(Was that really a terrorist attack). A lot of money had been spent to prevent global warming which is not but just a theory till date. Lots of scientsts who tried to disagree with the term global warming are either fired or had been asked to kept their silence. Politicizing science had result in many disaster such as the great famine of USSR (1921-23). We have not been told many things which are true but only been told those which leads to a way of pandemic and cause fear. U must be wondering what is benefit for the government?

Lets see just the case of global warming.......................
After the term global warming was tossed in mid-20th century, many foundations have been started and many companies have started makin eco-friendly products. The major causes according to the government are burning of fossil fuel and cutting of tree.
First thing first, If the major reason is burning of fossil fuel then why government is not considering the petition filed by auto-mobiles companies to roll-out their hybrid vehicles to major extent. Why government is forcing to ban plastics and use paper bags which are made from tree pulp (Leading to cutting of tree)?

I am closing this topic here with lots of questions in ur mind unanswered. I would like u to find those rather than believing some idiots and their saying (including me). Stop being a cattle in the herd driven by some Shepherd (Politicians).

First Blog

Hi there,
Well guys I am weak in english and not too good at vocab also, so please ignore the mistakes. I will learn quick and fast and ll try not to repeat those mistakes.
What the hell am I saying?
Well well well........This is my first blog and I started this cause I think I have loads of free time. So I ll come up with all the unexpected topics and various aspects of my life in my soon to be coming blogs.
Thanks to all who is reading or had read this blog. And the rest who hadn't................Good for them
